WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT "A SIGH OF LOVE"

A REVIEWER TOP PICK AND 4.5/5 HEARTS FROM NIGHT OWL ROMANCE!

"I absolutely loved this story. There was just something magical about it since it was set in Alaska. Having visited there a few years ago, its beauty just leaves a permanent image in your heart, mind and soul. Alaska was the perfect backdrop for this story and the characters were just so believable. I felt so bad for Abbie because she just seemed to be getting a bad deal all the time until she returned back to Alaska. It was as if Alaska helped her to find herself again. I would definitely recommend this story to others and I eagerly look forward to reading more stories from Ms. McBride."

FIVE HEARTS FROM THE ROMANCE STUDIO!

"....This is an intricate plot with a compelling storyline written about a pair in their mid-forties who were each living in a shell just surviving. Ms. Bess McBride has done an excellent job of drawing the characters out and allowing the readers to feel part of the conflict which, of course, had to arise...I really enjoyed reading this book and found myself reading through the night because I just could not put it down. The sensual scenes were beautifully presented but were not explicit. The sex was alluded to, but not specific. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good love story with great action. I believe that it will be a definite winner."

FOUR AND A HALF BLUE RIBBONS FROM ROMANCE JUNKIES!

"A SIGH OF LOVE is a heartwarming story; a believable romance for two very lonely and deserving individuals.  I was captured by the descriptive power of the author to bring the people and scenery of Alaska to vivid life on the pages.  I felt like I was a part of this great state and got to know the characters as if they were new friends.  Abbie and her loneliness touched a familiar chord in me; the desperation she felt at being humiliated by George and how much Alaska seemed to heal her spirit.  Her bravery in traveling to Alaska despite being rejected earned her kudos from this reader.  Touching, sweet, romantic and poignant, A SIGH OF LOVE has it all.  This is a beautiful love story, one I will read again."

SHE MISSED HER STOP!

"I have just finished reading Bess McBride's Love of My Heart. What a book. I loved it.  I got so engrossed while reading it on the train, I went past my stop. Kept reading while I waited for a train to take me back to where I should have been in the first place. Kept on reading though. At work, in between typing about fractured tibia's, enlarged hearts and kidney stones, I sneaked in a page here and there. Sat up until midnight to finish it. I feel like death warmed up today but it was worth it."

SHE FELL IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS AND THE SCENERY!

"Well, I’ve just been to Alaska, where I fell in love, with the characters and the scenery. Bess McBride made such a wonderful job of describing the landscape, I swear I could see the fish jumping... This was a most satisfying ending, and a most satisfying read."

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT "LOVE OF MY HEART"

FOUR STARS FROM AWARD WINNING AUTHOR ANN ELIZABETH CREE!

I picked up Bess McBride’s Love of My Heart thinking I would read a chapter or two before bed. By the time I put the book down, it was nearly midnight and I had finished over half of the book....

Many books I’ve read with paranormal elements are downright scary.  Bess McBride has managed to create an intriguing mystery without villains, dark family secrets or tragic deaths....

Love of My Heart is a wonderful, heart-warming story that had me rooting for the two couples all the way.  The story threads are tied up in a most satisfying way. I  eagerly look forward to reading more of Bess McBride.

Love of My Heart is a beautiful, romantic story with a mild supernatural bent. The two main human love interests are Aggie, a therapist who is attracted to her client and is torn between her needs as a woman and her profession's Code of Ethics, and Bill, who has secrets that he won't let out in therapy not the least of which is his own attraction to Aggie.

The secondary supernatural romantic plot centers on past lovers, Louise and William. Louise lived in the house that Aggie now owns and is instrumental in getting Aggie to listen to her heart by drawing Aggie into her dreams to re-live Louise's romance with William way back in the 1800's....

The best part of this story is that true love endures. The author gives the reader a HEA that ties up all the loose ends, even the supernatural. Interestingly enough, she wrote the course of Louise's and William's romance in a way that could mirror real life; decisions we make along the way affect our future in surprising ways.

I enjoyed reading about how a man and a woman from two diverse families, influenced and manipulated by the ghosts of the past, find love in the future. Ms. McBride has an incredible turn of mind.

FOUR BOOKS FROM MY BOOK CRAVINGS!

Aggie is a therapist with a problem.  She’s committed the most egregious ethical sin.  She’s fallen for a client.  A handsome, funny, intelligent, caring, mysterious client named Bill.

Louise lives in the 1800’s and is in love with an Irish man named William who her rich father thinks is totally unacceptable and has forbidden her to see.  The lovers are parted and though William tries, he doesn’t hear from Louise and thinks she no longer wants to see him.  Therefore, he leaves town and goes off to Boston to go to college and law school so he might fight for immigrant rights....  The story is a nice twist on things I’ve read in the past and I enjoyed the ending.  I look forward to this author’s growth as a writer and will be watching for more of her books.
