welcome

Welcome to my web site! Yes, Bess McBride and Minnie Crockwell are the same author. I started out writing romances as Bess McBride, but eventually I wanted to try my hand at cozy mysteries. So, Minnie Crockwell came to be!

Click on the above links for books by Bess McBride and books by Minnie Crockwell.

As Bess McBride, I write predominantly time travel romances. I love them, and my friend readers seem to favor them as well. I have written some contemporary romances, historical romances and a few romantic suspenses as well. I love to write in different eras, so you will find time travel romances set in the Highlands of eighteenth century Scotland, Regency England, the American West in the nineteenth century, the Western Isles of Scotland in the seventeenth century, turn-of-the-twentieth-century locomotive trains in the American Northwest, the South Pacific and Edwardian England and Wales.

You have to believe I want to write in more eras and locations! So many stories...so little time! :0)

As Minnie Crockwell, I write cozy mysteries set in a recreational vehicle (RV) where my sleuth (Minnie) travels with a companion ghost, Ben, a former cartographer on the Lewis and Clark expedition. Since I believe love makes the world go around, Minnie and Ben are in love...as difficult as that can be with an eighteenth century ghost. Join Minnie and Ben as they travel around North America in an RV, encountering murder and mayhem along the way in the Will Travel for Trouble series of cozy mysteries.

I might try another cozy mystery series setting in future. Did I say so many stories...so little time?
